Prison of the Unnamer

1 - Ghosts of Tecne

The adventurers were contacted by the Voice of the Crimson Fleet, a Warforged representative of a powerful multi-planar faction of pirates and mercenaries, and given a mission to assassinate a mage named Ulric Shale, who had fled to the ruined city of Tecne in the mountains north of town after stealing several powerful conjuration scrolls from the mage’s guild in the City of Spires.

After battling through a hive of Crag Spiders and engaging in several skirmishes with Shale, the party ascended to a pagoda at the spire of the city where Shale had retreated to. At this point, it became evident that Shale’s motives were more complicated than originally thought. Although obviously not quite sane, he alluded to a being called the Unnamer that had devastated Tecne several centuries previously, and was now waking up again.

The party killed Shale as well as his summoned Remohraz minion, and contacted the Voice of the Fleet for their reward. The Voice informed them that they should return to the City of Spires, where further orders would be forwarded to them.

2 - The Cerebrotic Library

This adventure took the party to a concealed Illithid hive below the City of Spires, where an explosive device was planted and several magical tomes were recovered from an artifact called the Cerebriotic Library.

After recovering the tomes, the party battled their way to the surface and detonated the explosive device, forever closing off the hive and disrupting the Illithid presence in the city.

3 - Delve

In this adventure, the PCs raided an ancient Aboleth city in pursuit of a magical artifact called a Shadow Pearl that could inflict considerable destruction on the Unnamer.

By the conclusion of the adventure, the PCs had recovered three shadow pearls, but re-awakened the slumbering aboleths in the city itself.

4 - Wet Work
Underwater assassination!

Under the orders of the Crimson Fleet, the party launched a raid on the submarine of an insane gnome named Frederick of Orange with the goal of recovering several combat golems before they could be employed against the village of Farshore.

Upon entering the submarine, the party learned that a fragment of an artifact created by a long-lost deity and possessed by several Rune Golems had lead Frederick to kill the crew and animate them as undead monstrosities.

Although Frederick was slain, some suspicion remains that he could still be active in some form.

5 - The Fetid Curtain

After spending several weeks resting and re-preparing, the party was summoned to the Orc city of Tlaloc in the Fetid Curtain, an expanse of thick swamps and jungle in response to planar activity in an isolated logging camp.

After surviving the denizens of the Fetid Curtain, the party located the logging camp and determined that the Orcs had been unmade on a fundamental level after a planar rift opened at a site not far from the camp.

Examination of the rift revealed a Lich in the service of the Unnamer, who battled the PCs before succumbing.

The rift remains extant, and most likely provides a direct link to Xin-Shalast.
